Join the City of Winter Park's Sustainability Division on November 18th for an invasive species removal project at Mead Botanical Garden!
Invasive species often out-compete native species, resulting in wide-spread ecological and economic damage. For that reason, we will be removing invasive species from Mead Botanical Garden to help keep the natural balance of this ecosystem.
We will be meeting up in front of the Azalea Lodge which is at the end of the parking lot.
Please wear closed-toe shoes and dress appropriately. If you are under 18 years old, a parent or guardian will need to be present in the beginning to sign a minor waiver. Anyone under 12 years old who wants to participants will need a parent or guardian present for the remainder of the event.
We will provide the necessary materials, snacks and a water cooler, so please bring a reusable water bottle.
