John DePaola is a freelance trumpeter in Orlando, Florida. His style of jazz improvisation radiates warmth and is complemented by his ability to create melodic solos. He performs regularly at jazz societies and varied venues in central and southern Florida. John DePaola's CD "Take Two" is hitting well on the jazz charts.
It is obvious when one listens to Rich play that his roots are in the blues, citing his major vocal influences as Ray Charles, Joe Williams, Jon Hendricks, Betty Carter and Al Jarreau. Anyone with a love for, or a background in jazz will hear the influence of Wes Montgomery, Pat Martino and George Benson in Rich's guitar playing.
